The 20-year-old furnace system was modernised according to the customer’s call for tenders. The following tasks were carried out:
- Evaluation of the old system
- Exchange of the old Siemens Simatic S5 with the successor system Simatic S7, both in the furnace system and in the conveyor technology
- Exchange of the old temperature and C-level controller with a Demig process controller DE-VX 4115
- Use of the latest control system generation, including batch tracking, fault messages via SMS to a cell phone, and process documentation
- Electrical installation and commissioning on site
